Sponsorship & partnership
Paf continues to expand into new markets, seeking partners and providing sponsorship which complements the company's role of generating profit for good causes. Here are just a few examples of these relationships.
NatWest Island Games
The Island Games is a biannual competition which brings together 25 of the smaller islands from around the world. Known as 'The Friendly Games' it is a unique opportunity for young and old people from remote regions of the world to meet and compete with each other. Paf has long been a proud sponsor of both the event and the Åland team which participates. Åland's commitment is particularly strong as the only non-UK island to have hosted the games more than once.
Estonian Olympic Committee
Paf works in partnership with the Estonian Olympic committee within Estonia. This connection was initially founded in 2004 through a subsidiary and continues today.
In summer 2011 Paf began a partnership with the international charity movement Emmaus to help combat human trafficking. Paf arranged a series of live poker competitions where Paf and its players donate half the prize pool to a support centre in Lithuania for women who have been victims of trafficking. This project arose from a suggestion which came from one of Paf's own poker players.
